Interview:

1, Can you tell us one thing about yourself we can't find online?

I’m a binge-watcher. A few months ago, I watched every single episode of Sex and the City back to back to back. Now I’m working on Mad Men. I love me some Netflix, and House of Cards is probably next.

2, Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?

I remember when I was a little girl, I used to write up stories that featured Han Solo, because I was absolutely obsessed with him. I guess I was creating fan fiction before it was cool! I was always writing, it seemed, whether it was short stories and poems for creative writing classes or legal briefs for my previous life as a lawyer. I actually found that I enjoyed writing legal briefs and I was published in Law Review when I was in law school. And then, I don’t know, I sat down to start writing a novel, and Beautiful Illusions was the result. I had no idea how it would be received, and, to be honest, when I wrote the novel I didn’t know the first thing about self-publishing. I only knew that I found my calling, and I haven’t stopped writing since then!

3, Can you sum up your writing journey so far in 5 words?

Difficult yet fun. That’s only three words, sorry about that! :)

4, Tell us why we should read Exposure in 140 characters or less?

Because it features a smoking hot billionaire and a feisty, yet damaged, heroine. I like their chemistry together - they’re good for each other, yet that’s not always apparent. And they’re both pretty sarcastic, so that makes for some good scenes!

5, What's your favourite food to snack on when writing?

Potato chips! That’s my favorite snack, period, but I have to limit myself because I love them way too much. Especially Kettle Chips. Yum.

6, If you could have one book world exist to live in, where would you choose and why?

Narnia. I loved all of those books as a kid, and I really loved all the creatures. CS Lewis did a great job creating that world, and I could imagine living in it.

7, Do you have any advice for aspiring authors?

Never give up, and try self-publishing. If you get some advice from other aspiring authors, such as on KBoards or something of the sort, you can learn enough to get your work off the ground. There’s no need to try to publish with a traditional publisher anymore. I love the freedom of doing everything for myself!

8, Is there anything you'd like to say to readers?

I love all my readers, and I want to thank each and every one of you who have supported me!

Excerpt:

With his long legs stretched out in front of him, Gunnery Sergeant Lucky Diamond sat in front of his Sergeant Major’s desk, unable to believe what he had just heard. He tried to focus his attention on the stack of papers on the corner of the desk, and hide his disapproval from his Sergeant Major because that would only make things worse. If Sergeant Major Dillon Graves knew Lucky didn’t want to do what was at hand, then he’d make damn sure there were more unpleasant duties in the future. Marines followed orders, no matter how nasty they might be.

“It’s customary for you to say something once your Sergeant Major gives you orders, not just sit there like a damn bump on a log.” Dillon clasped his hands on the desk before him and watched Lucky.
“Yes, Sergeant Major.” He wasn’t sure how he managed that without any sarcasm in his voice.
“You’ll do it then?”

Lucky wanted to scream hell no, that he wasn’t going to take part in a military cook-off no matter what it benefited, but his Sergeant Major would have the final say. It was best to keep his mouth closed until he knew what his orders were. “Are my orders to take part in this charity cook-off?”

“Yes.” Dillon leaned back in his chair. “You’re our best chance of winning.”
“Isn’t there something my time could be better spent on? A volunteer deployment? Crash test dummy? Target for shooting practice?”

The emotions of wanting Paige Toons NEW BOOK!

I'm going through that stage at the minute where a new book is soon being released and I need to get it out! (Okay that sounds awkward to explain further and gosh knows what thoughts are going through your heads right now) but moving on..

I'm at that stage where, you know that stage... it's coming up to a new book release by one of your favourite authors and you start seeing other people post pictures that THEY HAVE THE BOOK and you want to have the platonic and mature attitude and be like "aw that's fab hope you enjoy it" OR "aw that's great!" But you can't because they have the book.. that book! THE ONE you WANT! THE ONE you NEED, THE ONE you CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT! It's not fair..

Emotional Britney

I feel like I wanna cry everytime someone else shares that they have it or I wanna throw stuff.. yeah throwing stuff feels like a better coping method! It's released next Thursday but it bugs me, why can't we all receive it at the same time.. preferably me before everyone else!

Hulking Out

I can't cope.. it's so frustrating and heartbreaking and no body understands what I'm going through...

Sad Yelling

Please can we just stop this? I'm gonna cry.. people are making me cry! Can we take everyones copies away until I have it and I have read it then the world will be sunshine and roses again?

Jack What?

I feel like I've said everything I need to and now it's like..

Tom Hanks Typing

I feel deflated, heartbroken and sad! But most of all disappointed because well I don't know why I just wanted to add that big word in for.. effects or something!

I may sound slightly unhinged or a bit.. crazy although I'm not! (Though some will argue that point, (family ofcourse) that was like bracket inside a bracket!) That's like super cool right now. I just needed to vent about my bookish emotions right now because I need that book!

I have came to the decision that I will NOT be searching The Sun in Her Eyes on twitter, instagram or Facebook till I have my copy! I need chocolate now..

Reasons why?

Jennifer L. Armentrout: My obsession with her books knows no bounds! I generally don't read YA although JLA makes me crazy about it! The only authors whose writing I can read from YA, NA and to adult!

Paige Toon: Where do I even begin? Paige makes me fall in love with her characters as if them real! Through all her books I've been on an emotional turmoil.. never has one author made me feel grief, happiness, heartbreak and love all on one single Page!

Natalie Anderson: When I need something sweet and guaranteed and happily ever after Natalie Anderson is my go to author! Her writing makes me so bleeding happy!

Tiffany Resiz: Tiffany wrote the original sinners.. nuff said!

But nopes! I've never read anything like her books and I'd love to meet the woman behind the incredible kinky extreme journey of these characters.. plus to enquire about Wesleys whereabouts!

Tammara Webber: The authors book Easy is very close to my heart and will have it's own special place there.. everything about this book is amazing and the emotional and personal journey she sent me on while reading, it would be amazing to meet her.

Samantha Young: On Dublin Street remains one of my favourite re-reads and I need the authors signature on it!

Jane Austen, Emily Bronte, Charottle Bronte: Who wouldn't want to meet the original authors who made us fall in love between the pages of books with the brooding man or whose books started us of with an bookish obsession?

William Shapespeare: Macbeth was one of my favourite things to read in highschool and everyone has there opinion on Lady Macbeth but I dono.. I think mine would be different. I would love to question him his inspiration..

10 Reasons Why You Should Read Tiffany Reisz!

I've decided to write a post to explain why YOU should read Tiffany Reisz. My sister Megan is currently re-reading 50 Shades of Grey and she is rather bewitched by them, something which I never thought I'd say. Also a massive fan of the crossfire series by Sylvia Day which I disliked and didn't even manage to finish the first book - she is still hesitant to read Tiffany Reisz and it is all my fault.

I explained yonks ago what the books were about and mentioned the tiny little detail about Father Soren which since then has put her of, but it shouldn't! So for her sake as well as others I've compiled a list of 10 reasons why you should give these books a go!
