About the book:

When Rainey Ann McKenna's dying husband asked her always to be there for his brother, Tex McCoy, she had no idea that five years later her promise would bring a murderer into her home. According to the conditions of his release, for the next three months Tex will be on house arrest before starting his probation. Obligated by a promise, Rainey takes the gorgeous but dangerous felon in.

Tex McCoy may have gone to jail for murder, but after almost a decade of being incarcerated, he too is dead inside. Resurrecting any of Tex's feelings-including the ones he once had for Rainey Ann McKenna-could not only be hazardous to her heart, but fatal to her body.

But beyond his crime, Tex has many other secrets, and with a single word spoken from the killer's mouth, Rainey's ordinary life will be changed forever...

Excerpt:
But being left alone with Tex McCoy, the murderer, she found it difficult to summon her characteristic stubbornness. She glanced up at him and saw him gazing out the window. With him filling it, her normally decent-sized kitchen suddenly appeared small. It seemed to shrink even more when his eyes slithered from the window to her
so much so that it seemed to become devoid of oxygen, and her breath caught in her throat. He took a step toward her. At that point, her breathing seized altogether. His hand came out, nearing her face. Or was he going for her throat? She panicked and gasped for air as if his hands were already around her neck and squeezing. Was he going to…strangle her? She slapped his hand away. “Dont you dare touch me!”
He shoved his hand into the pocket of his jeans. His eyes, if at all possible, became darker, almost black, but his expression remained impassive. “You have dirt on your face,” he said flatly and remotely, as if hed expected her impulsive reaction.
Oh.” Her hand went to her cheek, the one he had planned to innocently wipe off for her. She rubbed it, wondering if shed overacted. What was she going to do when he freely walked around her house, took a shower in her bathroom, or slept in the bedroom below hers? Was she going to jump with every step he took? Was she going to lay awake all night? And the showerher shower. Rainey decided thinking about Tex McCoy naked in the shower wasnt a good idea. He was a killer. But he already served his time, right? Was he…reformed? Wait, was she really trying to rationalize here? It was manslaughter, not murder, right? And he did claim self-defense. Right. Then whyd he brutally stab Curtis Watson multiple times?

The questions swarming through Raineys head were undoubtedly the same questions the jury had asked. Their answer to that question had earned Tex the maximum sentence of fifteen years. The unanswered question that remained was why Tex McCoy and Curtis Watson, a hired hand whod worked at the McCoy ranch three years prior to the murder, had gotten into a brawl outside of the bar in the first place, the scuffle that eventually led to Curtiss death.
For the sake of her son, Rainey had to believe Tex was reformed. She had to trust he had no other choice and that he had a damn good reason for killing Curtis Watson.
Uh, Ill show you to your room,” she said, diverting her eyes from his so she could start down the hallway. She couldnt hear him behind her. She glanced over her shoulder. He was right there, near and looming, with all the prowess and silent pursuit of some sly, predatory panther. Her heart slammed into her chest wall. She straightened her back, valiantly suffering through another panic attack. When she reached the spare bedroom, she opened the door and walked in. “This used to be my grandmothers room. Nobodys stayed in here since she died, but it has a queen-sized bed, an empty dresser…” She stopped and turned, practically bumping into him. Swallowing her insistent fear, she took a step back. “You do have clothes, dont you? I, um…well, I dont see any luggage or a duffle bag.”

Yeah, I have clothes,” he said and moved forward, recapturing the distance shed intentionally placed between them. “My things will be dropped off later.”

Oh,” she breathed, backpedaling until she hit the wall. “Good.” Her body went still. He was standing just inches from her. He wasnt touching her, but she felt pinned against the wall just the same.

He lifted his hands and placed them alongside her head, resting them on the wall. Now, she was literally pinned. His eyes drifted to her mouth, and every nerve trembled from the inside out. She wanted to run. Her breathing seized, and her heart had stopped midbeat. Fear was winning.
He leaned forward, and his dark lashes lifted until his eyes met hers. “You look scared,” he said, in a voice so low, ominous, and deep that it shook her insides.
She stood there, speechless.
Ever so slightly, like his menacing approach, his lip curled up. “Thats good,” he said, swaying dangerously closer. “You should be, Rainey Ann.” His eyes ran over her face. “In fact, youd better take that fear and hold it real close.”
His hand came from the wall, dark lashes lowering once more. He gazed at her lips. They were quivering, but at that moment, Rainey couldnt have cared less if he saw it. She was terrified. Warm fingers scraped her shoulder, slithered up her nape, and gripped around her neck. His fingers indented her skin, and being strangled came back to mind.
Or,” he said, tilting in toward her ear, their bodies bordering lethal contact, “you could give in to that fear right now and scream.”

Ohhhh doesn't it sound HOT?? What do you think?

About the book:
Could lines like, "ooh it's hot in here" really get you laid?

Christmas is over: the presents have been opened and tired of, the brandy had been downed and hangover is a distant memory. Sophie is alone with nothing but vat of posh hot chocolate, her right hand and a secret porn collection to keep her happy.
It’s not that she doesn’t want to have sex, it’s just that the nice boys she meets aren't the type to pin her down and ravish her. When she does drag a boy home, she has fun toying with him. But it’s not enough. What she wants is a big, hot, hung man who will ravish her like they do in the porn films and take her anal cherry.

When her heating breaks down she imagines a big, hot stud with a huge package and just one mission: to extinguish the fire in her loins. Well as we find out, life isn’t like movies. Oh no, it’s even better...
Look no further for some hefty doses sizzling sex laced with face smothering, muff shaving, exhibitionism, masturbation, foot worship, bum sex and spatula shagging.

Review:

Sarah Berry has wrote an extraordinary hot sassy read. From her mentions of Mills & Boon books, porn and to a hot sexy man showing up on your front doorstep to fix the heating it's the perfect short novel for everyone.

Although their has to be something better to do instead of him fixing the heating to get warm, hasn't their? It didn't take me long to enjoy reading about Sophie and what antics she got up to. Especially the ones involving the lovely HOT Gabriel.

Whether she was masturbating with the metal spatula to trying to seduce the sexy Gabriel she surely keeps you wanting to read more. Sarah's novels are defo on my TBR list!

Free Book Blitz: Jessica by Laura DaLuca

All the following information was provided via Sizzling PR.

About the book:

Wilbur was used to going to his college formals alone. He thought the Halloween Ball would be no different. Hes amazed when a beautiful girl in a Victorian costume displays an interest in him and even more amazed to find himself alone with her on one of the campus nature trails. What Wilbur doesnt realize is that another woman has her eye on him too. The White Lady returns every Halloween to take revenge on the men of the campus for her brutal murder. She has chosen Wilbur as her next victim.

Excerpt:

Wilbur thought he was going to collapse when Jessica wrapped one arm around his waist. He could feel her fingers, soft as silk, touching the nape of his neck with her other hand, and it made his flesh tingle. She even went so far as to lay her head on his shoulder. Her hair brushed against his cheek and the fresh, flowery scent made his vision blur. At first he thought it was just his allergies, but then the whole room and all the people in it seemed to change. The woman all wore full lacy gowns with their hair piled up in fancy up dos, while the men waltzed beside them in tailored suits with long tails and top hats. Even the music had changed from the typical sappy love song to a classical ballad played by a string quartet. He swore he saw the musicians in the corner; their bows sliding effortlessly over the strings of their instruments while their fingers pulsated in perfect vibrato. Even the floor under their feet had changed from the faded gymnasium floor, marked with the lines and circles of the basketball court, to hand laid tile in intricate patterns reminiscent of a Victorian ballroom.
As they circled the dance floor in an oddly quickened pace, the faces of the dancers started to transform even more. The beautiful nineteenth century ballroom aged and decayed, as did the men and women that surrounded him. Grotesque monsters with bloated skin and empty eyes dragged their decaying limbs in slow motion. Wilbur watched them with growing horror, almost forgetting about the girl in his arms. The monsters noticed the stranger among them. They reached for him with fingers green from rot. Catching his breath in fear, Wilbur pulled away from Jessica and very nearly stumbled to the ground.

If I Were You
By Lisa Renee Jones
Erotic Suspense
Date to be Published: PRINT Release March 11

If I Were You

Announcement from Lisa Renee Jones

Back in September it was announced that New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones sold her indie erotic series THE INSIDE OUT TRILOGY in a major deal to by Simon and Schuster.(Louise Fury, L.Perkins Agency) Since then the highly acclaimed series has sold to ten foreign countries, with more under negotiation, and now it’s been optioned by STARZ for television (Shari Smiley, Resolution.) The project is moving forward quickly, with Suzanne Todd (Alice in Wonderland) producing.

Inspired by a real journal found in a storage unit during Lisa's eight years buying and selling units, the series embraces the dark sensuality of Shades of Grey and the intrigue with storage units that is Storage Wars in one spine tingling series packed with mystery and passion. The print version of IF I WERE YOU, book 1, hits stores March 12th.

About book one:
If Were You (print release March 2011)

One day I was a high school teacher on summer break, leading a relatively uneventful but happy life. Or so I told myself. Later, I’d question that, as I would question pretty much everything I knew about me, my relationships, and my desires. It all began when my neighbor thrust a key to a storage unit at me. She’d bought it to make extra money after watching some storage auction show. Now she was on her way to the airport to elope with a man she barely knew, and she needed me to clear out the unit before the lease expired.
Soon, I was standing inside a small room that held the intimate details of another woman’s life, feeling uncomfortable, as if I was invading her privacy. Why had she let these items so neatly packed, possessions that she clearly cared about deeply, be lost at an auction? Driven to find out by some unnamed force, I began to dig, to discover this woman’s life, and yes, read her journals—-dark, erotic journals that I had no business reading. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. I read on obsessively, living out fantasies through her words that I’d never dare experience on my own, compelled by the three men in her life, none of whom had names. I read onward until the last terrifying dark entry left me certain that something had happened to this woman. I had to find her and be sure she was okay.

Before long, I was taking her job for the summer at the art gallery, living her life, and she was nowhere to be found. I was becoming someone I didn’t know. I was becoming her.

 The dark, passion it becomes…

Now, I am working at a prestigious gallery, where I have always dreamed of being, and I’ve been delivered to the doorstep of several men, all of which I envision as one I’ve read about in the journal. But there is one man that will call to me, that will awaken me in ways I never believed possible. That man is the ruggedly sexy artist, Chris Merit, who wants to paint me. He is rich and famous, and dark in ways I shouldn’t find intriguing, but I do. I so do. I don’t understand why his dark side appeals to me, but the attraction between us is rich with velvety promises of satisfaction. Chris is dark, and so are his desires, but I cannot turn away. He is damaged beneath his confident good looks and need for control, and in some way, I feel he needs me. I need him.
All I know for certain is that he knows me like I don’t even know me, and he says I know him. Still, I keep asking myself — do I know him? Did he know her, the journal writer, and where is she? And why doesn’t it seem to matter anymore? There is just him and me, and the burn for more.

EXCERPT

We begin our walk, faster this time, and the cold wind has nothing on the chill between us. Conversation is non-existent, and I have no clue how to break the silence, or if I should even try. I dare a peek at his profile several times, fighting the wind blowing hair over my eyes, but he doesn’t acknowledge me. Why won’t he look at me? Several times, I open my mouth to speak but words simply won’t leave my lips.

We are almost to the gallery, and a knot has formed in my stomach at the prospect of an awkward goodbye, when he suddenly grabs me and pulls me into a small enclave of a deserted office rental. Before I can fully grasp what is happening, I am against the wall, hidden from the street and he is in front of me, enclosing me in the tiny space. I blink up into his burning stare and I think I might combust. His scent, his warmth, his hard body, is all around me, but he is not touching me. I want him to touch me.

He presses his hand to the concrete wall above my head when I want it on my body. “You don’t belong here, Sara.”

The words are unexpected, a hard punch in the chest. “What? I don’t understand.”
“This job is wrong for you.”

I shake my head. I don’t belong? Coming from Chris, an established artist, I feel inferior, rejected. “You asked me why I wasn’t following my heart. Why I wasn’t pursuing what I love. I am. That’s what I’m doing.”

“I didn’t think you’d do it in this place.”

This place. I don’t know what he’s telling me. Does he mean this gallery? This city? Has he judged me not worthy of his inner circle?

“Look, Sara.” He hesitates, and lifts his head to the sky, seeming to struggle for words before fixing me with a turbulent look. “I’m trying to protect you here. This world you’ve strayed into is filled with dark, messed up, arrogant assholes who will play with your mind and use you until there is nothing else left for you to recognize in yourself.”

“Are you one of those dark, messed up, arrogant assholes?”

He stares down at me, and I barely recognize the hard lines of his face, the glint in his eyes, as belonging to the man I’ve just had lunch with. His gaze sweeps my lips, lingers, and the swell of response and longing in me is instant, overwhelming. He reaches up and strokes his thumb over my bottom lip. Every nerve ending in my body responds and it’s all I can do not to touch him, to grab his hand, but something holds me back. I am lost in this man, in his stare, in some spellbinding, dark whirlwind of…what? Lust, desire, torment? Seconds tick eternally and so does the silence. I want to hold him, to stop whatever I sense is coming but I cannot.
“I’m worse.” He pushes off the wall, and is gone. He is gone. I am alone against the wall, aching with a fire that has nothing to do with the meal we shared. My lashes flutter, my fingers touch my lip where he touched me. He has warned me away from Mark, from the gallery, from him, and he has failed. I cannot turn away. I am here and I am going nowhere.

Author Interview: Kahlen Aymes

This interview was originally to be published for my birthday event during August but due to my head injury I never got the chance!

A massive thanks to the author for taking the time out to answer some questions! I hope everyone has enjoyed the Kahlen Aymes!

Interview:

Can you tell readers a bit about yourself?

Hmmm…lets see. I grew up in the Mid-western United States, the youngest of three children and attended a catholic university where I majored in business administration and marketing. I am happily divorced and have one daughter and two dogs. Im extremely busy! By day, I sell diamonds and I spend most of the nights writing. I love music, dancing, cooking, theatre, art; I draw, paint, & play piano… Ive done some community theatre (mostly musicals) and taught ballroom dancing right after college. While Ive always loved books, I never, in my wildest dreams, expected to be a published author. But like it. J
Your writing history/journey so far?

It was fate. Truly. I worked in media sales and when the economy tanked in 2009, my job at a major newspaper was eliminated because several of my accounts either went out of business or severely cut back their advertising budget. To make a living, I designed a web site for online coupons but needed to market it. One day, my hairdresser couldnt stop gushing about Twilight and even though I rolled my eyes, I read the books with my 9 year old daughter. A light bulb went off; these women were my target market! I found that there were a hundred thousand fan fiction stories, some with thousands and thousands of reviews. I thought… “I can do this.” So…I wrote a story, never expecting my love of writing to morph my business aspirations. But, when the reviews were so positive, it became my passion. I loved it so much and I was writing constantly.

My readers nominated me for awards within the genre and miraculously, I won a few of them. I was stunned, but encouraged. My readers were telling me that I should publish. My publishing journey is a longer story. If you want to hear that…Ill tell you!

Can you share with us your latest news?

Sure! Dont Forget to Remember Me, Book #2 in the Trilogy, is about to publish. The eBook has been proofed and Im waiting for the formatted version of the print book. When I go over it and approve it, and then it will literally be a week until the book publishes.

Im about 1/3 finished with the third book and hope to have it published by Christmas! Im formatting another longer, unrelated novel to manuscript, and have three other stories in my head, screaming at me to get out!

What is the inspiration behind your novels?

I dont really analyse that part because its different for every story. DFTRM began as a title that intrigued me and I built the story around it. On After Dark, it was the plot that evolved before the title. Its never the same…but the most honest answer I can give is that my readers inspire me. Their words via email, tweets, DMs and reviews spur me on like nothing else. If they want to read it…I will write it.

Your novel has been the best I've ever read and has touched my heart like no other, why do you think readers feel emotionally attached to your characters?

I think because Im attached to them and its important to me to draw the readers into the pages. Its important to make them feel, touch, taste, smell and see it in their minds eye. I want it to play like a movie in surround sound, not the two dimensions of black and white words on a page.

What's the best thing a reader has ever said to you?

Wow. What you just said was right up there! I have thousands of reader reviews and Ive saved them all. I want readers invested, so when they say they are bawling their eyes out, shouting for joy, feeling every nuance my characters feel…then Ive done my job.

Do you have any advice for aspiring authors?

Have a thick skin. Reading is subjective and not everyone will like your book. (This includes agents and publishers). I had three publishers ask me for completely different revisions. Whats one persons treasure is anothers trash, and there isnt one damn thing you can do about it. There are also people out there that will have an opinion even if theyve never read one word youve written. Its hard to take sometimes, but just let it go. Believe in your story and in your skills…but keep working to get better. We can always get better.

The most important thing to remember is this: Its your story. Write it as you envision it and dont let anyone make you change something that you dont believe will improve it. Sometimes, there are too many cooks in the kitchen…but youre the head chef and ultimately, the words on the page are your responsibility.

Is there anything specific you'd like to say to readers?

Thank you! Your support, emails and reviews make my fingers fly on the keyboard and overwhelm my heart! Some of you have been with me for three years and others are brand new…I love and cherish each and every one of you.

As a teenager what was the best/worst thing you ever done?

Hmmm… I was sickeningly good. I never did drugs, smoked or missed curfew. I earned good grades, went to college, crossed my ts and dotted my Is. I always considered my actions. I believe that was smart, but at the same time, I think being a little more carefree (on some things) might have been okay. The best thing I did was to stay true to myself, despite the doubts, insecurities and temptations that we are all faced with when growing up.

This is my last year of being a teenager... :( *sob* is there any advice or something you think I should try or do to make it the best ever?

Make good choices for your future, but dont fret if you change your mind on what you want to do with your life. You never know where youll end up, but you have to embrace the journey. Live, have funand love with your whole heart; even if you get your heart broken. Why do you think I can write such gut wrenchers?

Flash Favourites:

Colour: Green

Book: The Odyssy (Homer) I read it in tenth grade and it was an amazing experience. We spent the entire semester reading and dissecting the story and its sub plots. I loved every minute of it.

About the book:

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer...preferably in bed. That's always been Kingsley Edge's strategy with his associate, the notorious New York dominatrix Nora Sutherlin. But with Nora away in Kentucky, now it's Kingsley's chance to take her place at the feet of the only man he's ever wanted -- Søren, Nora's on-again, off-again lover -- until a new threat from an old enemy forces him to confront his past.

Wes Railey is still the object of Nora's tamest yet most maddening fantasies, and the one man she can't forget. He's young. He's wonderful. He's also thoroughbred royalty and she's in "his" world now. But Nora is no simpering Southern belle, and her dream of fitting into Wesley's world is perpetually at odds with her dear Søren's relentlessly seductive pull.

Two worlds of wealth and passion call to her and whichever one Nora chooses, it will be the hardest decision she will ever have to make... unless someone makes it for her....

In the Prince Nora is in the South with Wesley where he lives, Or should that be where the Prince of Kentuckey lives?

We are taken to the past with Soren and Kingsley. I could read a whole book just about those two, I kept wanting to read more. We also get to know mtwo and what there bond is really like.

I would love Kingsley and Soren to end up together ... but then what about Nora? and then Wesley? Argh!

Weslet and Noram I adore them! Absolutely adore them!

I was quite sad that Griffin and Michael weren't in this.... only Griffin a tiny bit! But OHMYGAWD! Kingsley sister is ALIVE???

Something tells me Christian knew about it and is involved somehow, I just do not trust him!

I couldn't believe Nora and Wesley get engaged but before she said yes is said that she looked behind Wesley with fear in her eyes.... so did she really to say yes? OR was she told to? She was also very persistant to get WEsley out of the barn.... from any immediate danger maybe? But ahhhh Tiffany Reisz I hate you! (Not really) Just as Nora and Wesly were about to embrace someone kaplunked him over th head! Why? Who? Kingsleys sister? Talel? WHO??

Plus... wesley had to call Soren!!! Someone has taken NORA! Ahhh!! I've a sore throat from yelling!

Obviously Kingsley sister is prime suspect as she told kingsley when she thought Soren had another woman she would *Kill the bitch*, then that keeps being written everywhere. PLUS his dog Sadie, the only female dog he has, was stabbed in the heart. Soren's old bed was destroyed, Nora's file gone, Nora's bed destroyed!

Nora took Soren and he belonged to someone else... so now someones taken what b
Cause Soren has only ever loved two people Kingsley and Nora.... :) He never loved his *WIFE* Kingsleys sister....

Beofr eI give the whole book away which I sorta just have! SORRY! I have to find a group where I can talk about this series!

But the most important thing.... what the hell do I do till the Mistress is released and who will Nora end up with?? I have a feeling it's gonna be neither.... Or someone (thinking Soren) might die.... Ahh please don't kill anyone! (Especially Wes OR NORA!) If author is reading this (FAT CHANCE) she's probs ran a thousand miles away ;-/ DON'T KILL ANYONE! PLEASE!

I need therapy now.... while I try and figure out how to cope....

The Original Sinners novels breaks all the rules and gets all the better for it! I am utterly addicted! I love them!

Author Interview: Amy Ritchie

PictureThanks so much to author Amy Ritchie for taking the time out to answer some This or that questions.... hmmm.... wonder what she'll choose between chocolates or flowers.... Any guesses?

About Amy:

Amy Richie has lived in a small town her entire life. She lives with her three kids and their pet rat Jasper. She began writing in high school but never took it seriously until a few years ago. She enjoys writing because it takes her out of her everyday life and gives life to the people in her head. Amy says: “When I was little I wanted to be a mermaid, then when I was in high school I wanted to be a vampire; now as an adult I’m a writer, which is better because now I get to
be both.”

This or that:

Book shop or book site? I like the book site better. Only because I have three kids so going into any shop can be a chore!

Paperback or eReader? Paperback. I still love the smell of a new book, or even a well used one.

Tea or Coffee? Tea. For sure tea. I was once tricked by a coffee flavored jelly bean (thought it was chocolate or something sweet and it was coffee) Never liked coffee since.

Night or Day? Day. I get a lot more done in the daylight.

Summer or Winter? Winter. I prefer to be cold. You can add blankets when you are cold, being hot…there is only so much you can take off.

Lolly or Ice-cream? Not a huge fan of either, but I choose ice cream. Just not vanilla.

Chocolates or Flowers? Flowers. I love the smell of lilacs.

Classics or Fairytales? Fairytales. Who doesn’t love a prince?

Ohhh that coffee experience don't sound to nice, does it? What do you think of the this or that?
