Amanda Jason is the pen name for Carol Kunz’s New Adult romance novels. She is the C part of the mother and son author duo, C.A. Kunz. The pen name Amanda Jason actually has a special meaning to Carol because it is a tribute to the set of twins she lost many years ago. Carol began her dream of writing when her son, Adam, asked her to write a young adult fantasy novel back in 2011. She couldn’t have been happier to embark on this wonderful journey into the literary world with her son because it was #1 on her bucket list.
Carol currently lives in sunny Florida with her hubby and her two four-legged fur babies. She takes comfort in the fact that her amazing daughter and son live close by. When she isn’t writing, you can find her walking her yellow Lab or reading a good book. Lucky Number four is the debut novel of Amanda Jason, and it’s been a long time coming.

First things first how are you?
I’m wonderful, thank you. I just can’t believe what has happened over the last six weeks. It has me speechless.
~ You've wrote YA as 1/2 of a mother/son duo for a few years now what inspired you to change route and write your NA book Lucky Number Four?
Adam wanted to write his own NA and I decided I would write one too. Of course, mine took almost a year and he did his in months.
~ What has the feedback been like on LNF? Have your YA readers enjoyed it as much?
I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful people have been. I have received messages from all over the world telling me that they enjoyed it. A few of my YA readers, who are adults, have said they love it. I hope none of our school age children have read it. It’s not meant for them.
~ There are numerous authors now that keep their name even when writing different genres why did you change yours? Does Amanda Jason symbolize anything?
I didn’t want the young people who read The Childe and The Modified to read my NA. There’s language and some sex. I’m not naïve enough to know that they probably know more than I know but as a Mum, I wouldn’t want my youngster to read it. Amanda Jason are the names we gave our twins when they were born. Sadly they didn’t stay with us for very long, so this is a tribute to their memory.
~ For you what differs between writing YA and NA?
NA is an older voice and though it doesn’t have to have sex and language, most of them do. NA is geared towards the college age person and older.
~ Are you currently working on anything ATM? (Please be NA, Please be NA)
Yes, I’m working on a second book telling the story of one of the other characters in Lucky Number Four. Definitely NA. J
~ What is something about yourself that people would be surprised to learn?
That I’ve been married to the same man for almost 38 years. Yes, I got married at the age of stwo!
~ Do you have anything that you believe brings you luck? A charm, teddy, person, item or some sort?
No, I’m quite boring. Luck just happens.
~ Name someone in the same career field as you who has been the most supportive during your writing journey?
There are four, Adam Kunz, Misty Provencher, Megan Bagley and Raine Thomas.
~ How do you fill your time when not writing?
Playing Bingo with my English Mum, reading, walking the dog and going to awesome book events.
~ Is there anything you'd like to say to readers?
Follow your dreams! Don’t wait until my age to do so and NEVER SAY NEVER!
Favourites: Books, white chocolate, walking my 120lb yellow Lab, comedy movies and TV shows, sunny days. (that’s why I live in Florida) J
