About the book:

It's a beautiful day for a war.

As the mortal world slowly slips into chaos of the godly kind, Alexandria Andros must overcome a stunning defeat that has left her shaken and in doubt of their ability to end this war once and for all.

And with all the obstacles between Alex and her happily-ever-after with the swoonworthy Aiden St. Delphi, they must now trust a deadly foe as they travel deep into the Underworld to release one of the most dangerous gods of all time.

In the stunning, action-packed climax to the bestselling Covenant series, Alex must face a terrible choice: the destruction of everything and everyone she holds dear… or the end of herself.

Review:

I've never felt so torn so much in my life about how I wanted a series to end or who Alex ended up with and I have to admit it! I love the series, the authors writing is amazing and above and beyond anything I've read before! I love the characters and love how it ended but I kept thinking something big was gonna happen and omgs it would be the end of my world but to be honest? I've finished the book and that feelings still there!

Another thing, I really did not have a baldy who Alex was going to end up with and I'm happy with the ending really I am! Aiden and Alex belong tgether and I don't think I wouldn't liked it any other way but ... SETH.... WHAT ABOUT SETH??? Everyone doubted him so much and in the end he didn't get the girl, probably knew he would never get the girl he loved so much but made sure she was happy and wasn't alone!

I don't doubt he did what he id for himself to. He had to absolve his sins and the guilt would have ate him up and killed him. But.. Sethy wethy.. I've never been so happy yet so angry and sad with an ending! :( Aiden and Alex yay go off together all happy dappy but SETH PEOPLE SETH??

Sure we'll see him in The Return, the spin off book but will it be the same? I've so many mixed feelings.. I feel lost.. or sort of empty! What happened to this amazing story? I think I'll have mixed feelings for awhile! This review isn't even sounding right cause my feelings keep flitting over the place.. :( I don't like the ending there I said it! Please don't hate me Jennifer! I don't like the ending for Seth and I don't know if I fully grasp it completely for the other characters although I do know it couldn't have ended any other way except in the way of no HEA.

A very weird feeling at the end of this gripping series. I won't judge this towards the authors writing cause it's flipping amaze balls I just hope Oppostition gives me everything I hope for now.. Please please PLEASE don't give me this feeling again! :( I wanna cry.. I honestly think am gonna get a big bar of galaxy and cry!

Have you ever had mixed feelings on a book? What book was it?

About the book:

Fate isn't something to mess with... and now, neither is Alex.

Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the god - and Alex herself - to bring her back.

The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex's power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex's connection to Seth isn't the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole 'an Apollyon can't be killed' theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.

Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer... or she might become the God Killer herself.

Review:

Omg! ahh Only one more book to fricking go! Apollyon is amazing! OBVIOUSLY! Just like any other book by this amazing author, her writing is obsessively addictive!

I can't believe Lea died.. but at least she's with her family now which is kind of peace for her! I can't wait to see what happens with Aiden, Alex, Seth and the rest of the gang! It's finally time to start Sentinel!

This is a must read series for all readers out there!

Is the author new to you? What do you of her books?

About the book:

History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time.Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday - to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden.

If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time 'training' - which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.

But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed. Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...

Review:

NO WAY! Oh my gods no! I hate her! YES I HATE HER! How can Jennifer end the the book on a CLIFHANGER!?!?!?!?!? She's connected to SETH! (Not Jennifer, but Alex) *SCREAMS*

Poor Aiden boo! Can I comfort him? ;) I wish I could pull him out from the pages! Deity is another kick ass addictive book by an even more amazing author! (I'm seriously running out of adjectives to describe Jennifers writing)

About the book:

There is need. And then there is Fate...

Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome - especially when Alexandria's 'other half' is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom - so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do - and sacrifice - for her.

When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies - lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon... and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her. When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

Review:

Oh my gods! Waow! Pure is double amaze balls with added fantasticness! I love this story it's addictively thrilling and the writing is amazing! Especially with the added greek mythology! I love me some greek mythology!

I've never been so torn between two male characters before! Team Seth or Team Aiden? I sorta like Seth! I still don't fully trust his motives but I do trust Aiden.... hmmm.....

Alex Alex Alex who to choose? Well me thinks you have chose the right choice but the wrong man.. although to late cause Aidens already put his life on the line! Soooo :o

I was so shocked at how Marcus was worried about Alex.. I'm unsure about Lucien. Omg Telly! Major dislike factor and omg that servant with brown eyes?? Aren't Alex's eyes brown? Okay... Need third book now! Toodles!

About the book:

The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi - pure-bloods - have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals - well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.

Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:

Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.

Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem - staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

Review:

Oh my Gods! If I thought the Lux series was amaze balls then I'm lost for words on the covenant series! I'm blimming obsessed with this authors writing! It is AMAZING! Phenomabubble! Exhilarating! Brilliant! Fantastic! Need I go on or do you get the hint?

It's hard not to get caught up in the book and impossible to not want to! This is why I love reading to enjoy this feeling of being totally lost in a book and Jennifer is the ONLY author able to do that with every book!

I love Aiden and Alex but I'm also liking Seth... Do I trust his motives? NOOOOO!! But hey.. maybe am paranoid! If I thought Daemon was perfect (which he is in every shape and form) I obviously hadn't met Aiden! He seems perfect! I'm already in love with him!

Alex is a strong, kick ass female lead which I loving reading about! I cannot to read Pure. If you haven't read this book DO SO IMMEDIATELY! Jennifer's writing is  obsessionally, maddeningly, impulsively addictive! You won't be disappointed!

Now.. onto Pure! ;)

About the book:

For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals - pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to fulfil as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards... and that she'll never be prepared for that duty.

According to her mother, that's a good thing.

But as every descendent of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return - the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death... because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once trained to kill.

The daimons have found her.

Review:

It took me awhile to get tinot this book but I am so glad I decided to read it! Waow waow waow I love Jennifers writing, she has the ability to capture my imagnation and mind with her stories.

Everything around me disappears when I read her books and it's such a thrilling reading experience. I can't wait to read Alexes story. I couldn't believe what happened to her mum... Awful! :(

She's a fighter and I am super duper excited to read half-blood! (Ohhh plus see where Aiden comes in! ;))

What do you think of Jennifer L. Armentrours writing? Are you a fan?

What do we do with ARCS?

Recently I had a major book clearout to try and find space in my bedroom, literally books were taking up every surface. On a good day am okay with that but on a bad day? well it was getting quite annoying not being able to put my make-up or perfume anywhere as literally every shelf, drawer, and even my wardrobe was filled with books! NOT CLOTHES or anything else! I had all my clothes folded (not neatly) out on the banister at the top my stairs.. I also had a feeling if they fell one more time because there was so much my mum was going to get a black bin bag and throw everything away which is why I decided to have a book clearout..

A few things I want to point out before I carry on with this..
  • Any books I have received from authors/publisher will NOT be added to the list!
  • Any ARCS I have are defo defo defo not added to the pile!
Snoop
(See even Snoop likes me for pointing that out!)

I contacted my local library and they said they weren't accepting any new books and I know alot of people will say to me bring them to your local charity shop.. but  the problem with that is my mum and I counted it all up and I've spent well over £300 in the last couple of years on books I've never read, will never read or couldn't get into which is why I had an idea to do a car boot sale.. It's a win win situation someone gets a brand spanking new book cheap and I get money for more books! See what I done there? Awesomness! ;)

But there remains to be one little problem... ARCS.. I have a alot ARCS, I will never sell ARCS, I will never give them away for all the money in the world because it's like a sacred thing for authors and bloggers.. I mean do ya how special you are if you receive an ARC way ahead of the book publication date? Pretty darn special in my head! :)

Wow Cool

So what do I do with them? I CANNOT send them back to the authors or publishers because quite frankly I ain't a millionaire to send that many books back and I can't do giveaways with them because that would cost alot of money to! So what do I do with them???

What do YOU do with ARCS when you're finished with them? Do you give them to other bloggers? Do  you swap them LET ME KNOW! Leave a comment below... pretty please??

About the book:

Pandora Ann Phillips' life is just normal-crazy.

Her mom's psychic, her dad's mom is a snob, her mom's parental units are 'too down to earth' and her best friends are newlyweds. Okay, so her best friends being newlyweds isn't really abnormal, but living with them in a cramped two-bedroom apartment definitely is. Sex, sex, sex, is totally on their brains. Actually, it's not only on their brains, but it's on the kitchen table, couch, on top of the washer...well, you get the picture.

Being a celibate (not by choice, mind you) full-time college student, and working as an almost full-time barista, Pandora can't afford to lose anymore sleep. So, she decides to seek out a new place to lay her head. Enter three 'drool worthy' male models that are looking for a fourth roommate, and they want her...and won't take no for an answer.

Romantic hilarity ensues as Pandora's life turns completely upside down, and she begins to wonder if it will ever be the same again!

Pagan Moore doesn’t cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him.

Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realised the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn’t let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he’s dead.

Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn’t realise is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with, is not a soul at all.

He is Death and he’s about to break all the rules.

About the book:

For rock star and notorious bad boy, Krit Corbin, addiction is part of his nature - and women have always been his favourite obsession. But that's the life of a lead singer in a band. He can have any woman he wants - anywhere, anytime. Well, except for one…

Blythe Denton is used to being alone. The minister's family who raised her have never accepted her as their own, and made sure she understood just how unworthy she was of love. So when Blythe finally gets the chance to leave, she takes it and moves into an apartment building with a loud upstairs neighbour who keeps throwing parties all night long.

During one such party Krit opens the door to find his new neighbour standing there. Blythe wants him to turn down the music, but he convinces her to stay. Blythe is nothing like the women who usually parade in and out of his apartment, but Krit can't resist her.

Determined to win Blythe over, Krit Corbin may have just found his biggest addiction yet.

Review:

Bad for You is not my favourite book by the author, although I cried, I laughed and I smiled so Abbi Glines definitely did something right! I was annoyed with the writing as at times it seemed really simply written like it was aimed at a younger reader. I was left feeling tired even though I do love the characters and halfway through the book I did a little cheer because it was like yay Abbi's back! The writing definitely got back to Abbi's normal style and I was addicted till the end!

Krit and Blythe will remain a fab Abbi Glines couple. All in all a thoroughly enjoyed book once I got into it. My highlight through the whole thing was hearing about Marcus and Low and their little boy!

Book Review:

Another hot, addictive, toe-curling, gasping romance book from the amazing Abbi Glines!

Reading Beau and Ashtons story I thought nothing could get better but I should have had more faith in the auhors writing as The Vincent Brothers was just as good if not better... okay just as good we'll stick with.. no ones hotter than Beau...

I couldn't get enough of Sawyer and Lana's story and literally couldn't put the book down! It was a feeling of simply reading page to page! If you haven't read these books or any by this author I suggest you check her writing out as it's addictive!

Sawyer and Lana finally get their happy ending after everything they've been through and I'm so happy for them! I couldn't believe the author added a few extra chapters of 4 and 5 years later. I love when that happens in books and you get to catch up with the characters.

Abbi Glines makes you cry, laugh and smile all at the same time while reading her books but most of all she makes you thoroughly enjoy the story your reading and there really isn't anything better than that. These characters will remain with me forever. They touched my heart especially Lana! I <3 them!

About the book:
  It started with a spark...

Everything changed when I met Dominic. My heart had just been broken, split into jagged fragments that can jigsaw together to make me look enough like a normal, happy person.

Dominic has shown me a kind of abandonment I've never known before. He takes me down a path of pure pleasure, but of pain, too - his love offers me both lightness and dark. And where he leads me, I have no choice but to follow.

Book Review:

First she followed him.. then she sat at the window, ate ice-cream and watched him and then that's basically how the book continues. I'm not going to lie at the start of the book there were times when I thought "what the hell am I reading?" I couldn't help though carrying on reading.

It's a good book and eventually I know I will read the rest in the trilogy although I don't know when that will be they are in my TBR list.

About the book:

You can’t get into St Jude’s Academy unless you’re gifted, talented and supremely rich. New girl Alyssa is on a scholarship and feels like an outsider - she's not even that smart, apart from her photographic memory (and that's cheating, right?). Then one day her room-mate Lily is found floating face down in the lake. It looks like suicide, but, torn apart with guilt and grief, Alyssa is convinced that things aren't as they seem. Soon a jolted memory puts her on the trail of a sinister secret that might hold the clues to Lily's suspicious death. But Alyssa is in too deep, and she's being watched . . .

Book Review:

Love love love this book! Intriging, mysterious and thrilling! This is the perfect read for any reader wanting to sink their teeth into a good book! With every twist ans turn you are gripped until the very last page and with the very shocking events that occur Lucy Carver will keep you up all night long reading!

The press release stated it was first in a new YA series so I am super excited to read the next book! (Wonder when it's out?)

Alyssa is one character that kicks ass and I absolutely love her and Jack together... but I can't help but love Tom and Jayden to!

Jayden just sounds dreamy! (so does Jack!) but he has to get rid of the staffie first before he becomes my book boyfriend! It's a deal breaker! If not I choose Jack!

I'm quite sad Alyssa will be on her own now with no Paige or Lily... even though she does have Jack it's not the same! Ya need some girl friends!

This is possibly the first book in a series to have gripped me this much since Jana Olivers The Demon Trappers and that is a major thing to say! :)

Read this book now... although perhaps leave the light on.. I know I did!

About the book:

Sinclair Jeffries thought she knew what she was getting into when her zany, gay friend, Jesse Eddington, talked her into portraying his girlfriend during his parent's anniversary party on Huntington Beach. That is, until she met Reed, Jesse's sexy as hell older brother, and ends up getting much more than what she'd bargained for.

Reed Eddington assumed his future was settled until he met Sinclair, his brother's so-called "girlfriend", but the raw, sexual tension between them is hard to ignore. As he watches their ruse from the sidelines, he finds himself wanting to uncover more than just their amusing little facade.

To start at the beginning this book was good and the need to know how it ended kept me reading till the end. That said though I believe the description of this book on Amazon.co.uk should be edited and should include more information about the involving nature of this book as I know if I had have known what it included I would NOT have downloaded it.. free or not!

I do believe however if the psycho stalker (who randomly came out of nowhere) bit hadn't of been in it the story itself would have been enjoyable... even though it is a bit of a mind fuck to be honest!

If you're like me in any sence and don't like books that don't have a final set ending then this book isn't for you. The author is good though no doubt about it because the physcho stalker is still on the loose and didn't die to Sinclair and Reed aren't safe! So the authors has definitely made me want to continue reading to see what will happen and hope they all end up happy but... I don't think it's in my heart to continue and I think it honestly would mess with my head to much and scare me.. :-/

What do you think of my review? Have you read the book?

Book Review:

It was absolutely an amazing feeling being back in Meg and Johnnys world, especially now since they have little Barney and Phoenix! It was so good reading the end bit from Jessie's point of view and she liked to *live dangerously* sounds like someone else I've read about before... ;) I can't wait for the story to unravel and to see what happens next!

I'm hoping that when Jessie arrived and Johnnys was late he wasn't out for a drink... and really hoping he doesn't turn to booze, drugs or women but I think he will... I really hope now! *bites nails* Oh please Johnny NO!

My only problem with this book was it was far to short.. :(
