Character Profile

Full Name: Kip Chanin

Age: 18. (15, but I dont admit to that)

Height: 5

Eye Colour: Brown

Hair Colour: Dark brown

Characteristics: My mother is beautiful. Some people say I look like her. When I found out who my father was, I realized my eyes are like hisays the're tender. Not what a photographer needs.
re tender. Not what a photographer needs.

Likes: My life is about seeing. I want to understand what I see and see more accurately. I like Alex. A lot.

Dislikes: The paparazzi, celebrity, fame, notoriety and show business. Unfortunately, thats my life.
Strengths: I learned how to not give up.

Weaknesses: My father, probably. I didn't know who he was and when I found out, it explained so much. Nothing I knew about my life was what I had believed.

Fears: That I'm more like my parents than I suspect. That their weaknesses could be mine, that I'll stumble and falll like they did.

Dreams: To be half as good a photographer as my mentor, Bay, and to be with Alex for the rest of my life.

Background: One day when my mother was 15, she went to a concert where Loy McLaren was performing. He was talented, self-indulgent, tormented and the ultimate bad boy. Of course my mother fell for him. My mother knows how to love. He really needed her. I'm the result.

Shed been pretending to be 18 for so long, it felt like the truth.

When the only way for 15 year old Kip Chanin to earn a living is as paparazzi, she cant say no.

Kips first photo is of Alex Milne, the handsome and volatile young actor. That one photo changes both their lives.

  1. I love the idea of the character profile. Most informative.

I haven't read any books about the paparazzi YET - fabulous.

  2. Thank you, Kelly-Ann for featuring Kip and "Flash" here. It was a challenge and fun to do the character profile and I look forward to doing it again.

  3. this sounds exiciting - I love stories about the trouble with fame. This goes deffinitly on my list of books to read
Thank you for this giveaway :D

  4. If you haven't read these books by Barbara, I totally recommend them! I enjoyed reading them several times. Something to remember when reading her books is that when you read it again, you get more out of them. She doesn't come right out and tell you everything like some authors. She gives you the information and details to come to your own conclusions. I think it makes me more invested in the books she writes. They feel more real because we have to do the same thing when dealing with real life. I love the depth of her characters. As you read, you get to know them and want to know more. I would also recommend her other books.
