Thoughts on: The Minute I Saw You By Paige Toon

"The Minute I Saw You, Paige Toons latest novel takes you on an emotional journey you didn't know you needed with every page."
For over 10 years now I've been gearing for the fifth month of every year for a new Paige Toon book and this year I'm thrilled (even with a worldwide pandemic) we still got THAT May release, I needed it! The ebook is available now and Paperback will be released in August so *fingers crossed* we are all able to go out and buy a copy each then! I have all this authors books on kindle AND paperback.... #fangirl

I started re-reading the Paige Toon classics from release date starting with Lucy in the Sky and was halfway through Pictures of Lily when The Minute I Saw You released which I tried to forget whilst continuing with the current read but by 3 days before a deadline to ask Paige a question to perhaps be featured in the paperback version was too good an opportunity not to try for!

The cover for Paige Toons latest book is bright, summery and my favourite colour yellow! You need it sitting on your shelf for an instant happy boost so PRE-ORDER the paperback HERE

About the minute I saw you: (taken from

When Hannah meets Sonny, she's irresistibly drawn to him: he's sexy and confident, but only in town on holiday. That's fine with Hannah - she doesn't do long-term relationships. And luckily for her, neither does Sonny. But before they can even so much as kiss, Sonny receives some shocking news and commits to making serious life changes - ones that can't and won't include romance.

With even a short fling now off the cards, Hannah and Sonny settle for being friends. But as summer hots up and their chemistry shows no signs of cooling, they start to question their reasons for shutting each other out.

Are they both too broken to find love? And if they tear down the walls between them, will they still like what's on the other side?

The Minute I Saw You is heartwarming, tear-worthy, and will hit you in the feels. It takes you on an emotional journey you didn't know you needed. It's a far cry away from alcohol-fuelled playboy singers, hot beachy surfers, or *taken* formula one driver! (sorry Will - I'm still not over you) Because it's real! Okay, it's fiction... but... the feeling, their life, the story can connect with every individual.

Set in the quiet village Cambridgeshire, the minute I saw you takes you through the life of Sonny and Hannah, two seemingly lost souls who have alot to work on including their sexual chemistry for each other.

I felt connected and invested in Hannah and Sonny more than I've ever been with any book or characters, there was a need in me for them to both be emotionally stable for each other, ready in themselves to move forward together and loved how they let their feelings guide them through instant attraction, friendship to... something a whole more than just love, true soulmates!

The friendship between foursome Hannah, Sonny, Matilda and Archie grows into something they all cherish and nurture, trusting one another with their secrets and pasts is something we can all agree scares us which means when they are ready to reveal, there's a bond that can't be broken. They love and support each other for their differences which makes them all brave in their own right! I hope we get more of Matilda and Archie one day as I would to follow up with them!

Overall thoughts: Paige Toons books get better every time I read them, the Minute I Saw You will have you crying, laughing, then crying more with a big goofy smile on your face! But.. it's all worth it! The many twists and turns of this book when you think you have it all figured out... trust me you don't!

Favourite Quote: 'Your differences are what make you unique. They're what make you you; Your differences are your truth.'

Random: We caught up with ALICE AND JOE! WOO! I adore when Paige lets us catch up with other characters in her books! It felt so good to know how they were!

This book does contain mentions of past sexual violence which I believe readers should know before they read it for trigger reasons!
