8 Books That Give Me Halloween Vibes

Happy Tuesday! Today I’m wanting to share 8 Books That Give Me Halloween Vibes, they may not be your usual reads around the season but if like me you prefer sweet (or swoony) to spooky then these will be right up your street.. from vampires, aliens to even fallen angels, hopefully there is something below that you’ll either already love or want to add to your TBR pile.

Top Ten Tuesday - A Bookish Redhead

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where list lovers, book lovers, and everyone can share their top ten posts using the topic of that week! Check out the list here: thatartsyreadergirl.com/top-ten-tuesday

Writing this list and all the Halloween Vibes it’s given me has me wanting to go back and possibly re-read a few favourites and even finish a couple of the series I’ve listed below as I’ve never gotten around to completing them and I think I have a reading/book goal taking shape for 2023 that includes finally wrapping up a few books I’ve never finished but that I always think back to like the Hush, Hush, and Scanguards series.

Check out the books below that are giving me Halloween Vibes, I have included in brackets the series in which the books mentioned belong to.

  1. Samson’s Lovely Mortal (Scanguards Vampires) – Tina Folsom (My review of Samson’s Lovely Mortal)
  2. Alien Lords Captive (Warriors of the Lathar) – Mina Carter
  3. Blood Vow (Kyn) – Mina Carter
  4. Glass Houses – Rachel Caine (The Morganville Series)
  5. Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush) – Becca Fitzpatrick
  6. Obsidian (Lux) – Jennifer L. Armentrout (Read my interview with Jennifer L Armentrout)
  7. Half-Blood (Covenant) – Jennifer L. Armentrout
  8. Forsaken (Demon Trappers) – Jana Oliver

What books do you enjoy reading around Halloween time? Are you a sweet and swoony or a spooky reader? Have you read any of the books I’ve mentioned?

  1. I read a lot of horror as a teen and young adult, but I can’t handle it anymore. I’m getting too old and wimpy, I guess! Either that, or I value my sleep now a lot more than I used to. At any rate, I prefer light spine-tinglers to anything too scary or gruesome. I don’t read much fantasy/PNR, so I haven’t read any of these. I’m glad you’ve found some fun favorites, though.

    Happy TTT!
