About the book:

Hating Patterson Cross is easy.
Keeping my hands off him? Not so much.

He’s my ex-fiancé’s identical twin brother, my father’s star hockey player, and the man I’ve despised for years. That’s three very good reasons I shouldn’t ask Pattycakes to be my hookup for the season.
But I recklessly do it anyway.

To my surprise, my biggest hater says yes.

We agree to keep it secret. Behind closed doors, I’m his. In public, nothing changes. It’s so much harder than it sounds. Because the more time I spend with Patterson, the more I realize hate was never the problem. It was just easier than admitting the truth.

The Hockey Situation is an enemies-to-lovers, forbidden, sports romance with a happily ever after! It can be read as a stand-alone. Included: spicy scenes and a cocky hockey star who’s playing to win…her heart.

Thoughts:

I couldn’t get enough of The Hockey Situation! I am forgetting each time I read these books by Lyra Parish who my favourite male or female character and couple is because they’re all my favourites.

Being a fairly new fan of hockey, I was so excited to jump in and read this. I loved reading about the dynamics between the team and also how the coach was Kendall’s dad, which made things that much more intense.

Patterson and Kendall’s obsession with each other was off the charts. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel with Kendall being previously engaged to Patterson’s brother; even finding out the full story and how they were never really suited, it was still a bit to wrap my head around.

Them sneaking around, nearly getting caught, and just falling hopelessly into lust, love, and obsession was something I couldn’t get enough of. Even when they properly got together in secret, I loved how it awakened something in Kendall, and she was inspired to paint.

This book is spicy, sporty, and oh so addictive!
