Top Ten Favourite Book Heroines – In the many books readers enjoy we are almost always drawn to book boyfriends and all the focus is primarily on them.
I’ve decided to write about my Top Ten Favourite Book Heroines.

To me, female empowerment is so important, and reading about some of these characters really helped me.
From growing up reading Diary of a Chav and relating to Shiraz quite a bit to reading about Posy, Jocelyn, and Candy taking charge of what they want and owning their mistakes or pasts is something I absolutely love to read about.

I loved Rosie in Where rainbows end, one of my favourite books ever
I of course loved Belle from Beauty and The Beast, she was always the Disney princess I wanted to dress up as, as a kid. I’m only familiar with Rosie from Where Rainbows End from the film Love, Rosie, but I did enjoy that.

Jane Austen characters are popular this week. I can see why. They’re iconic. 🙂
I think Belle is a heroine all bookworms can relate to! She’s gentle and understated, but she’s also fierce and admirable in her kindness, loyalty, and ability to see past the surface of things. Great choice!
