When Books Ignite Your Love For A City – London Restaurants I’d Love to Try

I have read so many books over the years which feature and center around hundreds of locations but there is always one that ignites my imagination and Travel Dreams! A place that I would love to go to after reading all about the first glance between strangers that spark a love story, the cities they explore whilst falling in love, and also the food they try and restaurants they go to make memories that the characters go back to for proposals and events.

One of those cities in particular for me is LONDON!

London, the capital of England has been the focal point for many books offering bookworms wonderful city attractions such as The London Eye and The London Library as mentioned below.

Apart from books, another favourite passion of mine is food, if I can enjoy the two together then there are bonus points. One thing I love is going out and taking my book with me, or discovering foody places that offer a bookish feeling or atmosphere.

That’s why I thought it would be a really exciting and different blog post idea to write about 5 Places I’d love to visit in London that I believe would be perfect being featured in books or actual bookish rooms you can dine in.

1 – The London Library

With its 19th-century interiors, I feel like this is the perfect dining experience, they offer The Foyle Lightwell Reading Room which seats a maximum of 12 or they also have available The Reading Room which seats a maximum of 100 with double height walls lined in books. It would definitely be a romantic setting.

2 – Bentleys Restaurant

Serving customers for over 100 years they offer five unique private dining rooms, one of which is ‘The Swallow Library’. With floor-to-ceiling books and a gold gilded ceiling, I can already picture this room being featured in a book.

3 – Shangri-La The Shard, London

How romantic and beautiful would it be to dine here! The rooms they have available are the Li, Yi, and Ren. The ren has crystal chandeliers, offering views of London’s most iconic landmarks, and floor-to-ceiling windows this dining experience is like something from between the pages of a book.

4 – 10-11 Carlton House Terrace

Including rooms called “The Reading Room” and “The Library” this restaurant sounds like the perfect place for book lovers, with its open space and elegant decor this feels like the perfect place for a wedding and proposals!

5 – Park Chinois

Park Chinois have quite a few different rooms you can select, if you’re looking for intimate dining or expecting a large group they’re stylish decor which features red velvet finishes is a must-stop location for romance.
