For the last matter of months, my book blog has been an itch I can’t scratch; it’s right there just calling to me to write. I’ve wanted to so many times, but as always, life, business, work, health… priorities.
I also took it upon myself to decide that my office had to be decorated by the first week of December, so I could get my mini pink Christmas tree up. Originally, I was going to have two, but who knew finding pink baubles (affordable pink baubles) would be so hard to find?
I also haven’t purchased said Christmas tree, so there’s that. For the last couple of months, I’ve not been feeling the greatest, and it’s meant A LOT of time in bed resting, scrolling on Pinterest, which has just amped up the untimely, stress-inducing deadline I put on myself and my boyfriend.
Along with moving house in the summer, most of my books are scattered across towns until everything is finished. I get to spend hours organising my bookcases while my dad gets his spare room back.
I haven’t written anything close to a blog post in over a year, nor taken pictures for Instagram, but I’m feeling more and more like my weekends are for resting, reading, and doing hobbies I enjoy. Not for catching up on work emails, finishing projects, or prepping for the next week.
So, from Décor to blogging, I’m pulling back a bit and going to hopefully practice self-respect, bake, and read so many romance stories this month, including writing some blog posts that I want to write. I also put some time into changing a few things. The pink and red vibes suit me more, as I only read romance books, and they seem like the two best-fitting colours, especially as pink is one of my favourite colours.
Whether my office/book room gets finished will remain to be seen, but I’m feeling hopeful it will be.
What are your plans for December?
