Books On My Winter 2025-2026 to-Read List
Books On My Winter 2025-2026 to-Read List – there are so many festive, wintery books out that it’s so hard to choose, but I’ve narrowed it down, and I’m even including a few I’ve already read below as well.
This list is for Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
1) Better Not Pout by Maren Moore

A lost letter to Santa gone terribly wrong…or perfectly right?
As the owner of my family’s vintage candy shop, there are two things I’m great at: Sweet treats and Christmas.
Love on the other hand?
Not so much.
So when my best friend insists we write letters to Santa asking for our dream men for Christmas, I figure it’s just a bit of holiday fun…until my letter mysteriously disappears.
And then Wells McCoy moves in next door.
Retired hockey player. New bar owner. Ridiculously handsome.
Infuriatingly expert at pushing all of my buttons.
And somehow, he checks off nearly every box from my dream man wish list.
When Wells unexpectedly steps in to help me save face in front of my ex, we strike a deal: A little fake holi-dating to get us both through the season. No feelings and no strings.
But between confusing mistletoe kisses, cozy nights with his family, and chemistry that feels anything but fake, lines start to blur.
Suddenly, fake feels a lot like falling.
And with the clock ticking down to Christmas, I can’t help but wonder: was it all just a sweet coincidence… or is this Christmas magic after all?
2) Say It Isn’t Snow by Veronica Eden

Snowed in with the one man I never want to see again? Not my dream holiday vacation.
My charming cabin getaway starts by fending off a bear attack with my rolling pin.
Except…the bear is actually my best friend’s brother. The star hockey player who stole my heart and broke it.
Thanks, blizzard. Now I’m stuck alone with Caleb. He’s still frustratingly hot, and cocky as ever.
This is what I get for taking time off from my beloved bakery.
At least there are enough beds…but only one hot tub.
Despite the cold, the inescapable heat between us sizzles. For every inch of space I keep from him, he crosses it to make my control unravel.
I can’t fall for how tempting he looks chopping firewood to keep us warm.
Or how irresistible it is when he takes care of all my problems before I realize them.
Not again.
Caleb won’t wear me down, no matter how hard he tries to convince me I’m the one who got away.
Once the snow clears, we’re going separate ways.
If he believes this is his second chance to win me back, well…he can kiss my sugar cookies.
3) Knot What I Want For Christmas by Hannah Haze
Add to Goodreads

Christmas spice. Cowboy heat. One lucky omega. It’s always been just me and Mom at Christmas.
But now she’s gone, and the thought of spending the holidays alone makes my chest ache. So when my best friend invites me to her family’s ranch, I pack my bags and head for the open countryside.
Beautiful horses. Soppy dogs. Endless fresh air.
What more could a city girl need for Christmas?
Well… definitely not them.
My best friend’s brother and his pack—cowboy hats, alpha scents, and abs that should be illegal—have decided I’m fair game.
They’re hot, they smell sinful, and that cocky cowboy swagger of theirs makes my knees wobble and my willpower vanish.
But they’re also arrogant, bossy, and only interested in a good time, not a bond.
They’re absolutely not what I need for Christmas.
Most definitely knot.
4) The Christmas Catch by Hannah Gray

He’s the salty fisherman whose family owns miles of coastline…she’s the business-savvy realtor looking for oceanfront property to develop.
The coast of Maine may not be everybody’s dream place to live, but for me, it’s home. Miles and miles of shoreline have been in my family’s possession for well over a hundred years, and I have no intention of letting that change, either.
So when Stella Stewart, the sassy property developer, lands in town, ready to make an offer for the family property, she finds out fast that coming here from New York … well that was a wasted trip.
I don’t want her money; I just want her gone. No matter how much I enjoy looking at her.
But when back-to-back nor’easters ground all flights in and out of Maine, Stella suddenly ends up with no place to go besides my family’s Christmas celebration. And she has no place to stay—besides my house.
In my bed.
I may be the salty fisherman. But she’s just … salty.
At least I thought she was until I spent some time with her. Now, I’m not so sure. But I do know one thing … I’m suddenly not quite ready for her to leave town.

He can code for solutions.
She can write happy endings.
If only writing smutty romance novels paid the bills, then Signe Lange could quit her monotonous nine-to-five. After one of her stories goes viral, her goals may finally be within reach. Only that dream may be snatched away by her company’s unfairly attractive Chief Technology Officer, Zaid Ansara.
For Zaid, catching glimpses of Signe sitting at the front desk is the only bright light in his mind-numbing workday–a fantasy, an indulgence. That is until a livestream event goes horribly wrong and reveals his resemblance to the love interest she created in her novel.
Perhaps Signe isn’t as indifferent to him as he thought. Except she is off limits, very off limits. He’s her superior, but hopefully not for long.
This could be his chance to get the girl. Dreams may be worth the risk, but can Zaid convince Signe that he’s the one for her? Preferably, without revealing that he knows about her story?
When her feelings for the man who inspired her reader’s favorite character become bigger than she expected, can Signe move forward with her plans to publish? Or will her chances at her own happily ever after be threatened if she does?

7) Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey
Add to Goodreads

Two weeks before Christmas and all through Manhattan, shop windows are decorated in red and green satin. I’m standing alone in front of the famous Vivant department store, when a charming man named Aiden asks my opinion of the décor.
It’s a tragedy in tinsel, I say, unable to lie. He asks for a better idea with a twinkle in his eye. Did I know he owned the place? No. He put me on the spot. Now I’m working for that man, trying to ignore that he’s hot. But as a down on her luck girl with a difficult past, I know an opportunity when I see one – and I have to make it last.
I’ll put my heart and soul into dressing his holiday windows. I’ll work without stopping. And when we lose the battle with temptation, I’ll try and remember I’m just window shopping.
